The heating system varies from hotel to hotel. Some provide you with electric blankets, some with heaters, and some hotels provide you with both.
During summers (MAY/JUNE/JULY), light woolens are required for Gulmarg, Pahalgam & Sonamarg and occasionally in Srinagar.
Spring & autumn (MARCH/APRIL/AUGUST/SEPTUMBER/OCTUMBER) are cold and woolens are necessary.
During winter (NOVEMBER/DECEMBER/JANUARY/FEBUARY), temperatures sometimes reach minus 10 C in Srinagar city and heavy woolens are required.
