Paragliding is safe as the pilot in command. It is as safe as you want it to be. We as a training school, strive to cultivate an ATTITUDE of safety and encourage all our pilots to never stop learning.
No there are no roads to the paragliding start point as its on a hilly terrain. You will need to hire jeep from the meeting point. Cost of jeep is 1000 which will be shared between the group members.
The reporting time will either be 9:00 am or 3:00 pm. You will be informed about the reporting time via SMS/whatsapp. You can also call us a day before your trip.
Kamshet is among the top destinations for Paragliding in India. It is also the main hub for Paragliding Training in our country. The hills are safe for flying with easy launches and large landing spaces. Flying in Kamshet is very picturesque with the stunning beauty of the Sahyadri ranges with lakes & forts all around that make for amazing views.

The flying season in Kamshet is from October to May every year. Generally the season begins from the middle of October and goes right till the last week of May before the Monsoons arrive when we stop flying.
There is a big difference between a Paraglider & a Parachute. The Paraglider is designed to fly, climb higher and cover hundreds of kilometres while flying whereas a Parachute is only designed to descend. It only brings you down. A Paraglider pilot carries a parachute in his or her harness (seat) as an emergency reserve parachute.
Paragliding is very unlike Parasailing. Paragliding is about flying, where a Paraglider like any sport aircraft can travel long distances like hundreds of kilometers and stay airborne for several hours. However, Parasailing uses a round canopy, is always tied up with a vehicle (jeep or a boat) and depends on the vehicle for its flight. These flights are of a very short duration lasting a few minutes only.
APPI License is Paragliding Certification Card that is proof that you’ve successfully completed your APPI training.

It is quite common to have a fear of heights. There are always one or two students in every batch who carry such a fear and wish to overcome it. We give special counsel to such students and the course is designed in a step by step progressive way. Special attention is given to the psychological aspect of fear and stress management.
Yes, you will need personal Insurance that specifically covers Paragliding. Recently, the Government of Maharashtra, Ministry of Tourism has made this a mandatory requirement for all participants in Paragliding & all other adventure activities.
The legal minimum age for Paragliding is 16 years & there is no upper limit. The minimum weight requirement is 45 kg’s & the upper limit is 100 to 110 kgs.
You need only to be reasonably fit to learn Paragliding. You should not have any heart ailments, asthma or epilepsy. You should be able to run well for short distances & be able to climb up shallow hills.
Comfortable and full-length pants, t-shirt and sports shoes are important. Never go for paragliding with wearing heels or slippers. Snacks, water and sunglasses need to be carried along.
Depending on the weather conditions we will either fly from Kamshet Tower hills aka Kusgaon hills, Karanjgaon hills or Pawna Lake hills. These are places are nearby and well connected to Lonavala.
