By Air: The nearest airport is in Dehradun. You can take a flight from Delhi and reach -Dehradun. Once you are in Dehradun, you can take a train or taxi to reach Kathgodam. From here, you can take a taxi to arrive at Lohajung, which is the base camp. Your trek to Brahmatal will start from Lohajung.
By Rail: Two trains, the Ranikhet Express and the Uttar Sampark Kranti Express run daily to Kathgodam from Delhi. Once you are in Kathgodam, you can take a taxi to arrive at Lohajung, from where your trek to Brahmatal will start.
By Road: Regular buses run from ISBT Delhi Anand Vihar Station to Haldwani railway station. Once you reach Haldwani railway station, you can take a taxi to reach Lohajung, which is the starting point of your Brahmatal trek.
The layer of snow on the Brahmatal trek starts to melt by the month of March. The best time to experience snow here is from the winter months of December to February.
