  • Kedarkantha Trek: This trek is popular among both beginners and seasoned trekkers. It is generally a six-day long trek in Govind Pashu Vihar National Park. The six days include the travel days from Dehradun to the base camp to the city. The biggest attraction of this trek is the summit climb of Kedarkantha. The climb to the summit is difficult, with the stretch becoming progressively steep. It becomes tough towards the summit, but this is the thrill of trekking. The panoramic view of the peaks you get after reaching the summit is the reward you get. Outside the summit, the trek is through the canopy of Himalayan forests. The Himalayan trees against the mountain peaks make for a picturesque view.
  • Pangarchulla Trek: Pangarchulla is among the well-known mountain peaks of the Garhwal mountain range. Lying on the Lord Curzon circuit, the peak lies at 14,700 ft. It normally takes seven days to complete the trek, from Dehradun to the base camp and back. The trek starts through open meadows and grass fields, while notable peaks like Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Barmal, and Hatigori surround you. 
  • Har Ki Doon Trek: Lying comfortably along the borders of the Gharwal Himalayas, Har ki Doon is among the most popular winter treks in Uttarakhand. This trek is also known as the hanging valley. It is because of the cradle-shaped mountains that you will come across while trekking here. The trek is the most ideal for undertaking in winter. The trails are covered with snow, while the enchanting smell of the deodar and pine trees will keep you motivated along the way. According to legends, this is the same route that the Pandava brothers took in Mahabharata on their way to heaven.
